Feeling the burn of accountability baby

Okay my fellow blog readers....here it goes.

THIS girl needs some real accountability. Are you in? Yes. I am giving you full permission to ride my hiney (because, believe me, I have enough for you to ride on at the moment) to get myself back into shape.

How did this all come about? I'm glad you asked.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect dress for my bro-in-law's wedding at the end of the month. I have had limited time to do so and the time that I have had, I've had no luck in finding anything worth stepping out in, or it looked like something a 13 yr old would wear or it was way out of my price range.

One of the many reasons I hate shopping. I used to love it! But, two babies later and it's kept me a bit more "window browsing".

Anyways, so during this process yesterday, I happen to get a glance of my hiney in the dressing room. I was able to hold in my shriek of horror and become completely motivated to get this "flab in the cab" back into shape.

I figured my backside doesn't qualify for "junk in the trunk" but almost.

Thank goodness I found a very cute dress at one of my favorite retail therapy shops and felt like this entire trip was a success.

Good things do come from those who wait.

So, my fellow bloggers, I am telling you that I will be getting my "FIC" outdoors to do some major running. I have an offer from my hot husband to clean the entire house from top to bottom (using my "list" mind you-because I'm so laid back) if I can make it the entire "mile loop" without stopping.

I know. You're asking me why I haven't done that already. Well, my sweet friend, it's because this girl can't make it around the block without wheezing for 3 days afterwards.

So, excuse me. Ahem. I think I am going to get over myself and head outside. But for real...kick my FIC. I'll post about my dietary changes tomorrow.

My hot husband is so proud. Sheesh. Being married to a therapist is one thing. Now, being married to a therapist who runs marathons and now over-saw me type this entry is really going to be an issue. :)

I'm right there with ya, though I do qualify for Junk in the Trunk-itis. Having 2 babies in 18 mos and then not getting off my rear and doing something about the baby weight for 2 1/2 years has caught up to me, that and a death in the family. I'm an emotional eater, I'll hit the gym tomorrow night and pray you made it that mile

Oh, Lindsay, can I sympathize with you on the marathoner husband. Nick teases me that I will only run if the house is on fire :) Which is true, but I've tried and just can't seem to get the wheezing under control...I hope you made it through your mile, if not for the FIC, but for the house-cleaning! :) Kristi J.

Linds, all i can say is 'Yes you can!' You can run though the pain of you body feeling like it's not getting enough oxygen. I did for the first time in April (got a horrible cold/sinus infections), didn't go for another month and low and behold, i was able to run for that mile or more with a little less pain. I've decided I can now be a runner, we should go some time and Val A. is great to go with too! Good luck!!

Hey Lindz,

I wish I lived closer, I would run with you. I've started running again in preparation for the Komen 5K Race next month. I don't run that often because of my knees, but I've got myself up to 2-3 miles per day. Although this takes extreme dedication and the only time I have time to do it on a consistent basis is at 4:50 a.m.! Not something I like, but I have gotten used to it. So...I'll help hold you accountable, if you would like. But don't start with trying to run the whole mile right away, start with 1/2 mile run (at a slow jog) and then 1/2 mile walk...and then work your way up. You CAN do it!!

Hey! Just stumbled across your blog! I recently got the 'Slim in 6' dvd's by beach body.. I love them. I don't do most of their diet suggestions or take their diet pills, I just do the workout videos, and I LOVE them! My husband keeps me on them!
I have PCOS and I fight the metabolism everyday! But I think the video's are great! (and I'm not a big sucker for infomercials, but they are easy, and short, so a little bit a day really helps!)

But I do watch foods! My biggest trick? I try not to buy to many things that have ingredients that I can't pronounce. Look at a label and you'll know what I'm talking about!
Oh! and the Breville Juicer! Best purchase ever!
Sorry, I'm blabbin! I just could really use some accountability too! lol
Good Luck!

No accountability here, sorry. I have always been a bit envious of your figure, so that whole FIC thing is going out the window.

However, although I do not personally believe in exercise, I have no problem with others pursuit of it. So go for it! For your health, not your seat size.:)
